At Hayes Canyon Campground we have 32 RV campsites available for rent for a day, weekend, week, or longer!

All RV sites have 30A electric hookups and city water, picnic table, and fire ring.  Most (30) have sewer hookups.

Campsites have 2-4 pens for your horses or mules.  Peace of mind and convenience of having your horse right there within eyesight.  No lugging tack and feed back and forth to a remote barn area.  [some sites have covered pens for an additional charge, see below for details]

When packing for your trip, include extra electric cord, water hose, and septic hose.  Due to the many trees on the sites your electric/water supply post or septic stub may be up to 30 feet from your parking pad.  Don't forget a manure fork to clean pens (put in wheeled cart provided right at your campsite, and we will empty daily).

2012 Rates

• rate includes RV site with electric, water, and septic hook-ups.

• rate includes up to 4 horse pens on your campsite (pens vary in size, most approx 10x10 ft, holds 1 horse) See the 'Horse Housing' page for more info

  • some sites have covered & matted pens, additional $5 per horse per night for covered pens, bring (or buy here) your own bedding if you wish to use it. See the 'Horse Housing' page for more info 

• rate includes bridle fee for all your horses/mules (paid to the Forest Service to ride in Shawnee National Forest)

• rate includes map of the horse trails (see 'Trails' page for links to trails maps you can review before your stay)

• regular rate = $28 per campsite includes tax  [*special hunters rates during deer and turkey seasons, inquire at office]

• peak season rate = $32 per campsite includes tax

  • peak seasons are May 1 thru June 30, Labor Day Weekend, and Oct 1 thru Oct 31. 

• STAY 5 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS OR MORE AND PAY REGULAR RATE--EVEN DURING PEAK SEASONS!!

  Check-In after 3:00 pm.      Check-Out  before 3pm.     Early arrivals may need to park trailer in day parking until site is open.  Late departures may need to move trailer to day parking if site is scheduled to be occupied.   

Primitive Campsite (no horses, no electric) = $15/night.   Limit two tents per primitive site.

Specific campsites not always guaranteed, but we will do our best to accomodate requests.  

Deposit by mailed check= one night's rate per campsite.  High-demand stays (cabins, holiday weekends, sites with covered pens, and ALL stays in October) will NOT be held without deposit.

Cancellation:  must be at least 30 days in advance for high-demand stays (cabins, holiday weekends, sites with covered pens, and ALL stays in October).  Deposits on short-notice cancellations MAY be rolled over/refunded IF we are able to rent the site on short notice.  If you give us at least 30 days notice the deposit can be rolled over to future reservation with no penalty, or refund can be mailed to you minus a $10 cancellation fee per campsite.

Day Riders (not camping): $2 per horse.  Please park in designated area.  Check-in after 7:00 a.m., check-out by 9:00 p.m.  Please put manure in cart.
