THE 'SHADY REST' [from the TV show Petticoat Junction].
Will have heat, A/C, seperate bedroom with 1 queen bed, another queen bed at one end of 'great room' with dividing curtain, single loft bed, queen fulton sofa, private bathroom with 4ft shower, 20gal water heater (plenty of hot showers!), kitchen with full size range and refrigerator, dishes (plates/bowls/cups/glasses), pots/pans, coffeepot & filters, microwave, TV, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, blankets, pillows, private deck looking out at woods, picnic table, fire pit, adjacent barn (being constructed) with 6 covered & matted stalls. This cabin will have a fresh-water tank for use during the winter, the tank will provide cold water to flush toilet and wash hands/dishes during the winter. Bring your own sheets and towels. Parking for two truck/trailers (any others will need to park in day-parking area).
Rate INCLUDES -- trail map, bridle fee paid to USFS to ride on Shawnee National Forest. Two-night minimum reservation. Base Rate $85/night for one or two persons + $10 per additional person over 2. THIS RATE INCLUDES THE 10% BED TAX (6%state and 4%county). Six covered stalls located adjacent to cabin are $5/night per horse and are matted but not bedded (if you desire bedding you can bring your own or buy here for $4.70+tax = $5/bundle). No picketing (you must rent stalls). Dogs welcome with $20 per stay cleaning fee + you will pay for any pet damage.
Deposit - $120 for 2-4 nights. $180 for 5 nights or more. Deposit paid in advance by mailed check. Refundable or roll-over to future reservation with 30 days notice. Sorry, no refunds or roll-overs with less than 30 days notice - many people plan their vacations many months in advance based on cabin availability, and it often cannot be rented on short notice.

Check-In after 3:00 pm. Check-Out before 11am. Early/Late arrivals may need to park in day parking until the appropriate time.

Shady Rest Availability Calendar
We are not currently taking reservations for the Shady Rest until it is closer to being completed.
Reservations for the 'Creekside Shack' rental cabin will have first option to change to the Shady Rest when it is completed.
